Last weekend, B and I brought back apples from my grandma's trees.  We filled a bushel basket and about half of a VERY large bag (we're guessing 1/2 a bushel).  Today, I made the 1/2 bushel into 7 pints of each apple juice and apple sauce, with enough apple sauce left over for B and I to both have a bowl full!  There's also six half-pints and one quarter-pint of apple chutney in the water bath right now (I just guessed that I'd need a double batch to minimally fill the canner - the recipe I used did not give a yield).  Tomorrow should be full of apple butter, apple pie filling, and more apple sauce.
